3 Steps to Sexy, Beautiful Hands

Jul 30, 2021

Here’s how to care for your hands this summer…

When it comes to summer skincare, most of us are all about the face.

But the truth is that there’s one part of your body that gets just as much UV exposure and is often the first to show signs of premature aging…

Your hands!

That’s why it’s time to care for the skin on your hands (and guard against the visible signs of aging) in three easy steps.

#1 – Exfoliate to reveal youthful skin

Just like your face, your hands can begin to look dull and dry with a multitude of fine lines thanks to a buildup of dead surface cells. That’s why we recommend exfoliating twice a week with our Exfoliate Mask and Peel.

It not only softly whisks away those dead skin cells, but also deep cleans your pores to eliminate skin sagging, so that your hands look youthfully plumped and firmed.

#2 – Care for your cuticles

To keep your hands at their best cuticle care is a must. After all, nothing says “I’ve forgotten my hands” like dry, ragged cuticles.

Our fave for perfecting those cuticles?

Our Botanical Soothe Cuticle Protector!

Formulated with Aloe Leaf Juice plus Avocado Oil and Chamomile, the formula goes to work to moisturize and hydrate your cuticles to keep them smooth, soft and beautiful.

Also, remember to never cut your cuticles, since this can lead to infection. Instead, once they are soft, push them back using a metal cuticle pusher.

#3 – Go luxurious

Finally, be sure to moisturize your hands all over with a rich cream at least twice daily to nourish your hands, guard them against free radical damage, and turn back the clock on skin aging.

Our Luxurious Hands Nourishing Cream includes skincare powerhouses like Avocado Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Shea Butter, and Vitamins A, C, D and E for the ultimate in hydration plus antioxidant protection to keep your hands at their best in spite of the hot summer sun.

It’s also a great idea to moisturize each time you wash your hands, especially when using hot water since soap and water can actually be drying.

Bonus Tip #4 – Add some UV protection

And to grab some extra protection against UV exposure and age spots, add a quarter size of your favorite sunscreen before applying your hand cream. This helps block the UV rays that accelerate skin aging and guard against signs of aging, such as lines, sagging, and dark marks caused by the sun.

Show Some Skin

Simple, right?

It’s completely possible to have sexy, beautiful hands, even during the hottest summer months!

Remember, your hands are one of the first things people are going to notice about you and one of the first areas of your skin to show signs of aging.

This makes them a great place to help make a good first impression whether you’re hitting the beach or heading to work!
